In the 2008-2009 school year, the University of Nebraska-Kearney had a student population of 6,500. Students choose from 50 bachelor’s degree majors and 170 programs of study. The commencement ceremony for undergraduates in May of 2009 included 481 students receiving degrees. Graduates can choose from 45 masters programs. There are currently 333 staff members and similar to UNL, this makes the campus a 16:1 student to faculty ratio. “The University of Nebraska at Kearney is a public, residential university that is committed to be one of the nation’s premier undergraduate institutions with excellent graduate education, research and public service.”
